Getting Started with Flower Stamping

This course will show you each tool that I use in flower stamping, and also the sequence that I use them in. You will see me bring the flower stamping to life as I work on a rear jockey. There is continuous teaching about each tool and how I use it. During the process, the teaching goes beyond the tool itself and explains the how and why of flower stamping. Not only will you see me stamp traditional Sheridan style flower work, you will also see me create a bronc riding figure using a wood burner to accentuate the figure. I will demonstrate how I maintain the checkering on the face of the tools that help you extend the functionality and life span of your tools.

Introduction to Drawing

This nearly two hour "Introduction to Drawing" (Formerly titled Intro to Drawing for Flower Stamping) shows you how to get started drawing flowers and establishing basic layouts as well as how flow works. This class has pdfs of basic flowers, leaves, scrolls and beginner flow designs to help you jumpstart your drawing journey. If you struggle with where to begin drawing or how to refine your technique this class will help you get to the next level.

Swivel Knife Class

The swivel knife is the first tool you will pick up after you have drawn your flower pattern. There is a number of techniques and tips to more effectively use this tool. In this class, you will learn how to care for the knife as well as getting exercises to develop your hand-eye coordination so that your swivel knife cuts will be more fluid and refined.
